Rectangular C Shape
Edit source codeDescription:
This is a rectangular C shape with a bold, geometric silhouette, distinguished by its open front and two inward-extending arms. The base and vertical sides form a "C" structure, while the inward-protruding segments—defined by the adjustable inset parameter—add a functional layer of containment or guiding surfaces. These inset sections form right angles at the inner corners.
Applications:
Thanks to its inset arms, this shape excels as a retaining clip, frame bracket, or mounting slot for panels, boards, or other parts that need partial enclosure. It’s well-suited for guide rails, modular supports, or sliding interfaces, where the inset can help grip or align components. Whether in robotics, cabinetry, tool holders, or custom fixtures, the customizable inset enables users to fine-tune the grip or clearance, adding flexibility to a wide range of functional and decorative designs.
This is a first version of an idea I had. You can add different modifiers to the generated shape. Currently there is only the drilling machine that can drill a hole in the center (origin) of the shape and rotate.
