"X", "Y", "Z", or "AUTO" (uses the axis with the smallest size).
Flip the honeycomb pattern orientation.
A fully parametric cuboid filled with a hexagon (honeycomb) pattern. Written in OpenJSCAD using my jscad-honeycomb package, then intersected with a cuboid to guarantee clean outer dimensions.
Perfect for lightweight blocks, vents, spacers, test prints, “infill-style” decorative panels, or structural experiments.
Params
- Parametric size: set Width × Length × Height
- Parametric honeycomb: control Inner Radius and Gap
- Fill Axis control: choose which axis the honeycomb “extrudes” along
Z(default): honeycomb runs through heightX: honeycomb runs through widthY: honeycomb runs through lengthAUTO: automatically chooses the smallest dimension (handy to save rotation steps)
Processing steps (work in progress)
This is a first version of an idea I had. You can add different modifiers to the generated shape. Currently there is only the drilling machine that can drill a hole in the center (origin) of the shape and rotate.
